A Practice Guide for Associates and Junior Partners

We all know that developing business is critical to advancing in law firms, but so few of us get practical training on how to do it.  Even experienced lawyers need to periodically refresh their approach to business development.  At the deep-dive Business Development Bootcamp, successful attorneys from diverse backgrounds at varying points in their careers will help you create a practical business development plan that fits your personality and goals (or refine the plan you’ve already put in place).  You will learn how to build upon new and existing relationships, and how to prepare for a pitch.  Panel topics include:

  • How to create or refine a business development strategy that fits your unique personality and goals
  • How to follow up with new contacts (for example, from this conference!)
  • How to solicit business from friends without awkwardness
